Alamport via Alam Energy started commissioning of 1.6MW Rooftop Solar Power Plant for Phase 1 at PT DNP Indonesia

9th Aug 2023

Alamport Inc. (“Alamport”), via Alam Energy (rooftop solar rental solution provided by Alamport, NiX JAPAN Co., Ltd. (“NiX”) and Shizen Energy Inc. (“Shizen Energy”), the rental company name is PT ATW Alam Hijau) announced that we started commissioning of 1.6MW rooftop solar power plant for Phase 1 at PT DNP Indonesia, an Indonesian subsidiary of Dai Nippon Printing Co., Ltd. (“DNP Indonesia”). The commissioning ceremony was held on August 7.

Alamport, Nix and Shizen Energy launched Alam Energy, which is a rooftop solar rental solution subsidiary, in collaboration with the ATW Group, which is the local partner engaged in the engineering, procurement, and construction of solar power plants. The companies are jointly developing the solar power generation business in Indonesia through Alam Energy.

In this project, Alam Energy installed an industrial roof-mounted solar power plant with a total area of Approx. 8000㎡ on the roof of the DNP Indonesia Karawang plant in Karawang, Jawa Barat, Indonesia. The electricity generated by the plant will be utilized by DNP Indonesia.

“DNP constantly considers the balance between business activities and the global environment, and works to overcome environmental challenges with the aim of realizing a sustainable environment, society, and economy. Through the installation of the rooftop solar power plant, we will promote production of environmentally friendly products and help to solve international environmental issues. “said Masayuki Emori, President Director of DNP Indonesia.

DNP Indonesia will be able to benefit from price-competitive clean renewable energy without having to undertake initial investments such as the cost of installing solar power generation equipment. In addition, since Indonesia’s current main power generation method is coal-fired thermal power generation, switching a portion of power consumption to renewable energy sources is expected to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 1,397 tons/year during the contract period, which will contribute to achieving the Indonesian government’s goal of carbon neutrality by 2060.

■ Project Overview

Output 1.658MWp (Phase 1)

*Additional installation of approx. 1 MWp is planned for Phase 2
